For your consideration is this 1963 Gokey Sportsman Catalog with Roger Preuss cover art. This is a rare estate find: the catalog in its original mailing envelope, complete with order form and return envelope still inserted into the center of the catalog. The color on the cover is still vibrant, probably because it was stored inside the envelope. The catalog consists of 68 pages (including the front and back cover) of equipment and other items designed to attract the outdoorsman. It's a fun read. The prices are always of great interest. Also, the catalog pictures and description are helpful in distinguishing the "snake-proof Botte Sauvage" from other boots sold by Gokey. The catalog has creases on the top and bottom of the front cover, as well as a few top page corners creased from having been bent over. In addition, the gummed edge of the return envelope has become adhered to the following page in the catalog. Heat might soften the glue enough to remove it. Something for the new owner to ponder.
