About Gauge sizes: Wire gauge numbers get higher as the wire gets smaller. Most of the head pins and eye pins I sell are noted by the gauge size. If your stringing pearls or smaller(2-4mm) beads you will be safe with a 26 gauge wire-you may also be able to use a 24 gauge wire but it may not fit every bead or even most of your beads. The standard sizes of wire guages used by most beading enthusiasts are 26 gauge (very lite/very flexible), 24 gauge (lite/flexible) and 22 gauge (heavier/not as flexible).
