Netanyahu’s ‘solidarity’ message to Iranians: Rule of tyrants will end soon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday addressed the people of Iran in a video message, saying the Shia nation will be free from the “rule of tyrants very soon”.
In a three-minute video clip released by his office, Netanyahu said that Israel stands with the people of Iran.
“Every day, you see a regime that subjugates you, make fiery speeches about defending Lebanon, defending Gaza. Yet every day, that regime plunges our region deeper into darkness and deeper into war,” Netanyahu said.

“Iran’s tyrants don’t care about your future, but you do. When Iran is finally free, and that moment will come a lot sooner than people think, everything will be different. Our two ancient peoples, the Jewish people and the Persian people, will finally be at peace,” he added.
Netanyahu also emphasised that there is nowhere in the Middle East where Israel cannot reach, highlighting the ongoing operation by Israeli forces in Lebanon in which Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Iran-backed militant outfit Hezbollah, was killed.
“There’s nowhere we will not go to protect our people and protect our country,” said Netanyahu.
“I know you don’t support the rapists and murderers of Hamas and Hezbollah, but your leaders do. You deserve more. The people of Iran should know Israel stands with you,” he added.
The assassination of Nasrallah was one of the heaviest blows in decades to both Hezbollah and Iran. He was the most powerful leader in Iran’s ‘Axis of Resistance’ against Israeli and US interests in the Middle East.
Israel indicated on Monday that a land invasion was an option in Lebanon after two weeks of intensive airstrikes and the elimination of Nasrallah, as the group’s deputy leader said it was primed for any offensive.
